Chasen Naoshi is a ceramic stand made in Tokoname and it is designed to hold the chasen.
It is very important how we take care of our matcha tools. Although whisks are not meant to last forever, with the right cleansing method its lifetime can be longer.
That's why, after making our matcha, it is recommended to clean the chasen after use. When it is completely cleaned, it should be properly dried before putting back into its package. The chasen must never be dried in an upright position in order to avoid mould caused by the excess water collected in the handle.
The best way to dry the chasen is to put it on a chasen stand so that it can regain its original shape.
