Mino ware, also known as Mino-yaki, is a type of Japanese pottery that originated in the Mino Province, which is now part of Gifu Prefecture in central Japan. It is one of Japan’s oldest and most famous ceramic traditions, dating back over 1,300 years.

Mino ware has a deep cultural significance in Japan, especially in the context of the Japanese tea ceremony. Featuring unique glazes and textures, each Mino ware item celebrates the wabi-sabi philosophy of beauty in imperfection and the natural world.
